Adventures of PTA Puppy

Description

Madelyn brought a puppy home from school on Friday. Fortunately for us, the pup was only staying for the weekend. Every weekend a different student gets to take the class mascot home and bring it back to school on Monday. This weekend it was Madelyn’s turn. The following is his tale:

Friday

Today I got to go home with Madelyn for the weekend. She was so happy I was coming home with her, she ran extra fast to show me to her mommy, daddy, and her little sister Alison. They took me home and introduced me to their dog Sadie. She’s really big and wanted to play with me, but Madelyn said  she didn’t think that was such a good idea. At night we all went to the mall and there were a lot of people there.  When we got back home, I went to sleep with Madelyn in her bunk bed.

Saturday

It rained on Saturday and Maddie was sad because she couldn’t go play soccer. She really likes soccer and was really looking forward to taking me with her. I was sad too. I bet it would have been lots of fun. That night we went to a big party to celebrate a 30th wedding anniversary for Maddie’s great aunt and uncle. They live in Omaha, Nebraska. Omaha is very far away and they had to fly in an airplane to get here. We had lots of fun and I got to meet a lot of people in her family.

Sunday

On Sunday we went to visit Madelyn’s great-grandfather’s house to visit with her family from out of town some more. On the way we stopped at a yard sale and we saw Mrs. Sferrazza from school. Madelyn got a new toy, some clothes, and her little sister got a puzzle. They were very happy. When we got to the other party, there was a another dog there named Caesar. He was smaller than me, and I don’t think I’ve ever met a dog smaller than me. After the party, we went back to Maddie’s home and played until it was time to go to bed.

Monday

Normally, I go back to school on Mondays, but today was a teacher’s workshop and the school was closed. That meant I got to stay with Madelyn a few more days. Today we went to the doctor so that Madelyn and Alison could get their flu shots. Maddie was a little scared, but I gave her a big hug and she wasn’t quite so scared anymore.

Tuesday

Alison went to school today and Logan came over to play for a little while. We had a lot of fun together and after Logan went home with his mommy we watched lots of Halloween movies. We watched Winnie the Pooh’s Halloween Heffalump movie and my personal favorite, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”. I really like that dog Snoopy, he’s funny. I go back to school tomorrow. I had lots of fun with Maddie, but I miss my friends at school.
